Eat Outside

Outstanding in the Field, is a mobile culinary adventure, its a restaurant without an address! sigh....
Their mission is to reconnect diners to the land and the origins of their food, and to honor the local farmers, and food artisans who cultivate it.

Landscape Design

Who's heard of Madame Ganna Walska? If you are a connoisseur of Cacti you would have! She adorned her estate with giant clamshells, varieties of Aloe, Cacti and more... I love the quirky style.  For more visit, Lotusland.org.

I (HEART) Kuwait!

An invitation to stop by and smell the roses!
Green Bar in PLT

First of all from our Gulf Air air-o-plane BAHRAIN-KUWAIT, I could already tell that there was charm in the air, it was the poshest Gulf Air plane, newer than the ones going to Geneva, or Milan, and the men looked great- ghetra's were starched to perfection, and ladies looking super put together and gorgeous... wow, I could already tell Kuwait was going to be great!

Thanks to Nouf Hussein for inviting Green Bar to join the Pretty Little Things Event, we, me and Rozan from Bougi, are now in Kuwait and loving it... Nouf put together everything a Middle Eastern hardworking entrepreneur could ask for, a well edited "pop-up" mall, with new ambassadors and re-interpreters of the middle east culture... The first people we got to meet were the Kuwaiti bloggers, and what a great impression of kuwait they gave! the regions pretty and modern journalists have quite a head on their shoulders! What can i say....Charming** !

Winterize your roses

So this is a picture I came across from Vogue Italia 2008, it inspires me to winterize the roses I'm being a little obsessed with because of all our events... I never thought roses were a spring thing... Roses are for every season to me... and I'm dressing them up with black velvet this winter.

For the season I'm also tweaking my beauty routine, here's what I thought might be a nice ritual:  I switched to Turkish Rosewater instead of the light Moroccan that I have reserved for summer, a few drops of the classic and precious face elixir (and it goes on again after my make-up for a little glow), and Almond and Amber body oil to wake me up because that splash of bitter orange is light enough for the morning and the amber is sweet enough for the season... I honestly wake up in the morning for them! I created just what I needed!

As for the clothes, I'll stick to black velvet Overalls it goes well with my quirky taste for flowers, with a lace top underneath... had them for 3 years now... can never figure out what kind of shoes to wear with them... when barefoot in the house they are perfect. My Winter uniform again...

Santa baby i think i'm going to make hot chocolate and work on my wish list....

I really want to travel to source more ingredients! santa i need more airplane tickets, and free miles please!

Floral Fruity

Try the Flavor Thesaurus by Niki Segnit, for rose combinations, she suggests pairing it with bitter complicated ingredients like chocolate or clove, I personally like using it with middle eastern fresh cream to stuff big fat dates, that's my extravagant skin supplement, try it for winter to add a depth and muskiness to all the add-on whipping cream on your desserts!
